Button usage statistics



This option allows you to keep track of how and when TypeItIn buttons are used. This option is only available in the Network version.

TypeItIn can track the following information:
  • User name
  • Date
  • Time
  • Group name
  • Button name
  • Number of keys
  • Target window
  • Target application
  • Times used
  • Last used
  • Last edited

    Check the box in front of the options that you want to include. After you select an option, you can move it up or down the list by pressing the up or down arrow key.

    The statistics are saved in a comma separated value (.csv) file format that can easily be imported in a program like Microsoft Excel.

    You can select the format of the file name of the statistics file. By default it is stats.csv but you can choose to include the username and the date. Check the box in front of the options that you want to include. After you select an option, you can move it up or down the list by pressing the up or down arrow key. For example, the filename can be date_username_stats.csv or username_date_stats.csv. The date is in the yymmdd format.

    If you check the Reset usage daily option TypeItIn will reset the Times used value for a button every day. This works well if you include the date in the statistics file name since each day will have it's own file.

    If you check the Save events separate option TypeItIn will save each button click separately. This will give you the most detail and show you exactly when and how TypeItIn is being used. If you select to include the Target application or Target window information in the statistics the Save events separate option will be checked automatically.

    Click the Folder button to change the directory where the statistics file is saved. Click the Open button to save the statistics and open the file.

    Statistics are saved automatically every 60 minutes and when you exit TypeItIn.
