Type Function
Adwizard has a built-in type function to enter the log-in and advertisement information into the web site. For example, you may have to enter your username and password, and fill in an advertisement form. Adwizard can do all that for you with the click of a button.
To use the Type Function, first enter all your information into the variables:
Click on the Variables tab in Adwizard. Click on each item in the Variables list and enter your information into the "Text to be typed" box. For example, enter your email address for the {email} variable.
As an example, we are going to fill out a test form on the wavget site.
Go to the Sites Tab in Adwizard.
Go to www.wavget.com/adwtype.html
Drag the icon next to the URL in your browser to the Adwizard window. The icon will look like a page with an Internet Explorer "E" on it in IE, or like a blue "W" in Mozilla Firefox. When you drop the icon onto the Adwizard window, the "Add new Web Site" box will pop up. Change the name to "Adwizard Type Test" and click OK. This will create a new entry in the Web Sites List.
Click on the Adwizard Type Test entry in the Web Sites list. You will see the URL for the web page in the Web Site URL box.
Right click on the Type Button and select Edit from the pop up menu. This will show the Type Edit Window.
The form we are filling out first asks for your name, so find the {First Name} entry in the Special Functions list and double click on it to add it to the Text to be typed. Then press the Tab key to add a {tab}. This will make the type function move to the next item in the form, "Select".
Look at the items in Select, you'll see some different kinds of meat...I pick Steak, so go back to the Text to be typed and enter the letter s. Then add another tab to go to next item in the form.
The form now requires your email, double click on the {email} variable to add it to the Text to be typed, and another Tab to go to the next form item.
This item is a selection. To select one item, press tab a number of times to get to it and press the spacebar to select it. Then press tab a number of times to get to the next form item. For example, if we want to select item number Three it would require 3 tabs to get to Three, then a space, and another two tabs to get to the Comments box: {tab}{tab}{tab} {tab}{tab}.
Enter Hello for the comments box and then Tab to the next item, the Request button. Then press Enter to submit the form.
The complete type information will look like this:
{First Name}{tab}s{tab}{Email}{tab}{tab}{tab} {tab}{tab}Hello{tab}{Enter}
Click the Save & Close button to close the Type window and save the information.
To type the information, click the Type button. A dialog will pop up explaining how to use the Type function. Click OK and directly after that on the Name edit box on the web page. Adwizard will enter all the information into the form and submit it.
This works best if Adwizard is in the bottom right corner of your screen so the Type Button is visible even if your browser is on top of Adwizard.
